ABOUT US:
DU SOL is a ceramics studio based in Fez, Morocco. At DU SOL we provide a space for Zellige artisans to practice their craft. As well as providing ceramics classes for anyone and everyone interested.
Our studio wants to preserve the craft of Zellige tile-making by educating people about how it's created and the importance of this craft. As it is a traditional Moroccan craft, it is passed on from father to son, generation to generation. In aims to keep the craft alive and ongoing, we offer classes to certify new artisans to create Zellige.
VISUAL IDENTITY:
The visual identity of DU SOL is inspired by the bold and varied colours of Zellige tiles found in Morocco. The identity is bold and youthful aimed at young creatives interested in ceramics and crafts. The identity is a balance of bold and extroverted still maintaining professionalism and maturity.
The brand identity is presented in two languages, English and Arabic. The main target market for DU SOL is the European market, hence majority of the deliverables are presented in English. Deliverables like billboards are in Arabic as these would be based within Morocco.
